Beauty Tip: Naturally Beautiful Skin

Same old same! Sorry folks, what you take in will reflect on the outside. So, drink those 8 glasses of water every day, eat those healthy foods, fruits and veggies good for skin (apple, beetroot, carrot, spinach, strawberry, tomato etc) and finally, let's not forget the dreaded exercise. At least twice a week. Cheers!

Versace Spring Ready to Wear 2015 Collection

Here are some of the looks from Versace's Spring ready-to-wear, for your viewing pleasure. I fancy dresses so I selected mostly dresses for your viewing. So, rock on dress lovers;

Heidi and the Little Green Dress

This was Heidi's outfit at Versace Fashion Show in Milan last September. Looks simple but well tailored and chic. Lovely.

Aha! English Breakfast

The famous English breakfast. I couldn't get enough of this when I stepped in the UK. Toast, sausage, sunny side egg, some mushrooms, fresh tomato and baked beans. Although I always opted out of the bacon because of the high salt content, that aside I love me some English breakfast.

Street Fashion 2015 to 2016

Here's a look at some of the street styles of NewYork Fashion Week Fall/ Winter 2015-2016.

I was breezing through and thought I'd have fun with their looks . To the right is this fun, happy girl, with the hat, lovely scarf, beautiful outfit and flats that seem to go really well with the look. This is a style you can wear on a day you're feeling happy go lucky.

Here's the girl with a little bit of edge. The patterned jacket, the purse and those glasses with the white rims. Wear this look when you're feeling ready to take over the world and have fun with it.

This is cool, Love the turquoise bag, the beret and the boots.

This is a very chic look. With those beautiful pants and those heels. A classy street wear for the classy lady.

I love this look. She's sleek and smooth. A true boss.

Colour Blocking Trend

Hey folks! Welcome to the new year.

A trend that was rocked in 2015 was the colour blocking. Now we'll just sit back and see how it transcends into 2016.

How to Colour Block

You can wear a combination of bright colours whilst paying attention to the following rules; fabrics should not have patterns when colour blocking, choose fabrics that are plain, choose two or three contrasting colours, colours that are likely to clash for example; blue and green, yellow and pink etc. You could choose a bag that complements both colours or even a bag that matches one of the colours. For more edge, you could choose a bag and shoes with a third or fourth bright colour.
Rock your way to 2016!

Wedding Hair Styles: Casual to Elegant

You’ve picked out the dress, made a deposit to the caterer and are excitedly awaiting your big day. Since all of the main tasks in wedding planning are taken care of, it’s time to focus on the small details that make a wedding go from average to amazing! Chances are, your wedding hair style is something starting to weigh heavy on your mind. If you’re a normal bride, you’re probably wondering if you should wear your hair up or down. While there’s no “right” answer, here are a few beauty tips to help you choose what wedding hair style might be perfect for your big event!

Casual Wedding Hair Styles
Today’s brides are more often choosing casual wedding themes, like beach weddings or garden weddings. If your ceremony is in the day hours or your theme is more casual, take that into consideration when choosing your wedding hair preferences. Beach weddings often call for casual hair dos, like flowing, beachy waves or soft updos with hair pieces framing your face. Never pick a fussy hair do for a casual wedding or you’ll only look out of place at your own event.

Choosing Hair According To Your Veil
Many brides choose their wedding hair style based upon the type of headpiece they’ll be wearing on their wedding day. Some veils lend themselves better to be used on updo styles, while others look best on longer hair styles. Obviously, the best way to determine this is to try your headpiece on with your hair up and then try it on again with your hair down. Whichever appeals most to you will be best for your wedding day!

If you’re choosing to wear a tiara headpiece, you may want to make a few additional considerations. If you wear a tiara headpiece with a formal updo like a French Twist, you will be putting off an elegant image of class, dignity and sophistication. However, the same tiara headpiece can be worn with long, flowing waves to give a more innocent, girly vibe to your wedding look. It’s all up to the bride to decide what type of vibe she wants to put out there on her big day, because both are simply beautiful.
Long Or Short Options
If you have short hair, your options for bridal hair might seem limited, but they’re not! You can use beautiful wedding hair accessories to glam up even the shortest hair. Vintage combs are easy to wear and can be found in both formal and casual styles. Of course, some brides opt to get extensions before the wedding, so they can wear their hair in a different way. It’s advised if you are choosing to get extensions, to do so a month or so before your wedding so you can get used to them and those around you can get used to your new hair style. Otherwise, you might find yourself looking like a totally different person on your wedding day and it might make you feel uncomfortable.

All in all, it’s a great idea to meet with your stylist far before your wedding to do a few trial runs on your hair do for the big day. Otherwise, you might end up with a hair do you don’t like. Just remember, if you can’t decide whether to wear your hair up or down, you can always go for a half up look, which is increasingly popular with brides today!
